| From a thanks letter to the Israeli ministry of tourism about a show for the travel channel that guided by Motti Saar
The shoot went beautifully. No travel troubles at all, and the crew was in general just amazed at the hotels that the tourism board put them in. They felt totally taken care of and they were extremely impressed with the landscape, culture, people, etc that Israel has. I’ve been looking through the photos. What a beautiful country! I’m so jealous that I didn’t get to go! The only minor problems they encountered were at the Jordan/Israel border, and it was due to a computer glitch in the system. They eventually got through just fine. I also just wanted to say how much our crew LOVED their guide, Motti. Not only was he a fantastic driver/guide, but they felt extremely safe with him, and he was a wealth of knowledge about almost everywhere they went. Paul, our producer, actually filmed him several times on camera speaking because he was so knowledgeable. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide and we will truly always be grateful. I still haven’t stopped hearing good things about Motti. They even were invited into Motti’s home for dinner, and they really felt a part of something special during their time in Israel. I think that the Israel show is going to be our best yet, and I’m looking forward to filming our next show there. I know that we’ve only scratched the surface of what the country holds, archeologically, culturally, etc… From the bottom of my heart and on behalf of myself, Judy Lyness, Kely Rausch, and everyone else involved with the project, we thank you more than you’ll ever know.
