One-Day Christian Tour in Jerusalem – Holy Land Highlights
Begin your Christian day tour in Jerusalem on the Mount of Olives, one of the most meaningful viewpoints in the Holy Land. From here you enjoy a breathtaking panorama of the Old City of Jerusalem, the Temple Mount, and the sacred places connected to the life of Jesus.
We then walk or drive down the slope of the mountain to the Church of All Nations, also known as the Basilica of the Agony, built beside the ancient Garden of Gethsemane. According to the Gospels, this is where Jesus prayed on the night of His arrest, making it one of the most emotional and important Christian sites in Jerusalem.
From Gethsemane, we enter the Old City through the Lion’s Gate (St. Stephen’s Gate) and visit the beautiful Church of St. Anne, a remarkable Crusader church known for its acoustics. This site includes the Pools of Bethesda, where Jesus healed the paralyzed man, and the traditional home of Anne and Joachim, where the Virgin Mary is believed to have grown up.
Next, we follow the Via Dolorosa, the historic Stations of the Cross, walking the path Jesus took on the way to His crucifixion. The route leads us to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, where Christians commemorate the crucifixion, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. For many believers, this is the holiest site in Jerusalem—and in all of Christianity.
After this profound visit, we enjoy the colors and energy of the Old City’s lively market (shuk), then continue through the Christian Quarter toward the Cardo, the main boulevard of Roman-period Jerusalem.
We cross into the Jewish Quarter and make our way to Mount Zion, where we visit the traditional Room of the Last Supper (Cenaculum). This site commemorates the final meal Jesus shared with His disciples before His passion.
We conclude the day at the Western Wall, the most significant Jewish prayer site, a powerful place for reflection at the end of your Jerusalem Christian tour.
