Gaza Envelope – October 7th Memorial & Educational Tour
We begin the tour in one of the communities along the northern border of the Gaza Strip, an area deeply affected by the events of October 7th. Here we gain an overview of the region, its proximity to Gaza, and the scale and impact of the unprecedented attack on Israel.
From this point, we continue along the historic and tragic Road 232, visiting the Black Arrow Memorial, a site connected to early Israeli commando operations and today a central point for understanding the security reality of the Gaza Envelope.
Next, we arrive at the entrance to Kibbutz Kfar Aza, where we share the story of this community and its heroic residents. At the Ketav HaShemesh monument (Ketav VaShem), we reflect on the lives lost and the bravery shown during the attack.
We then drive to the Car Memorial in Tkuma, where more than 1,000 burned and bullet-ridden vehicles from the October 7th massacre were gathered. This site powerfully illustrates the intensity of the assault and serves as a national testimony.
Our journey continues to the site of the Nova Music Festival, where over 400 young men and women (including my nephew – Liam Bor Galon, RIP) were murdered while trying to escape the terrorists. This emotional and meaningful stop honors their memory and tells the story of courage, survival, and loss.
On our way out, we pass by several of the famous bomb shelters scattered throughout the area. At one of them we share the story of Aner Shapira, who showed extraordinary bravery as he threw back multiple grenades to protect others during the attack.
